On June 9 and 10, 2009, NWF hosted a Pastors’ Fly-In in partnership with the Christian Coalition of America (CCA) and the Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN). The 12 conservative evangelical leaders were briefed on climate change and energy issues and on the American Clean Energy and Security Act (ACES) by CCA, EEN and NWF staff. They then had met with key members of the U.S. House of Representatives, advocating support for ACES.
The Fly-In participants were from Georgia, Tennessee, Indiana, Florida, North Carolina, Illinois and Kentucky. Plans are underway for similar actions focusing on Senate legislation.
