On September 9, 2009, NWF Tribal Lands Program hosted a Tribal Briefing on Climate Change Legislation. The Briefing was sponsored by Senators Tom Udall (NM) and Max Baucus (MT). NWF, National Tribal Environmental Council and Native American Rights fund sponsored the briefing and prepared the following summary of tribal provisions for the Senate climate legislation:
